And I think I'm going to allow myself about one dessert per month, without being really legalistic about it. Staying away from sugar sounds harder than staying away from gluten! :) Why not try a piece of fruit once a week and, if there are no ill effects, up it to more frequently gradually? Not that I'm an expert, but that's what I might do.
